PROJECT AREA A Synthesis
The aim of project area is the development of synthetic routes for selected target structures of N-heteropolycycles and their derivatives for systematic studies of their properties in collaboration with the projects within the areas B and C. The properties of interest are: charge and energy transport, non-linear optical properties, molecule-substrate interaction at interfaces, singlet splitting, strong light-matter coupling (molecular polaritonics), chiroptical properties of chiral systems as well as the photophysics of extended open shell polycyclic N-heteroaromatics. This will require major synthetic efforts towards broadening the preparative basis in the generation of new organic materials.
