PROJECT AREA C Material & Function
The overarching goals of project area C are the application of new N-heteropolycycles as materials in functional devices such as thin-film transistors or photodetectors and a comprehensive understanding of their (opto)electronic, polaritonic, chiro-optical and structural properties in thin films, at interfaces and in tailored 3D-structures. Crucially, the experimental studies are complemented by theoretical approaches that specifically target structure-property relationships in thin-films and devices rather than isolated molecule properties.
