Interfaces with N-Heteropolycycles: Morphologies, Electronic Properties and Dynamics of Electronically Excited States
Prof. Tegeder – PCI, Uni HD

Project Description
The project will characterize the electronic, nonlinear optical, magneto-optical, and chiro-optical properties as well as the dynamics of electronically excited states after optical excitation at interfaces with N-heteropolycyclic molecules and within thin films. In addition, the absorption properties and morphologies are analysed to gain a deep understanding of the structure/property relationships. A strong focus will lie on nonlinear optical properties (two-photon absorption and third harmonic generation) of open-shell and chiral systems. In order to answer the central questions and achieve the objectives, a comprehensive range of experimental methods is available, which is very well-established in the working group.
