Electron Donors of Different Dimensionality Derived from Bridged Triphenylamines
Prof. Kivala – OCI, Uni HD

Project Description
The project focuses on the synthesis and study of new families of ortho-bridged triphenylamines, so-called N-heterotriangulenes, as versatile electron donors. The structural, electronic and photophysical properties of these compounds are carefully adjusted by systematically varying the bridging units. The obtained electron donors form persistent open-shell and donor-acceptor systems which are being investigated in close cooperation with material-oriented and theoretical groups as novel organic semiconductors and functional materials.
